The author of this article shares a set of processes to easily create memes with the help of AI tools, from ideation to image creation to upload platforms, even those who lack creativity can quickly use AI tools to create and launch emoticons.
When 4o first came out, my optimistic friend @阿真Irene wrote an article on how to use 4o to make WeChat emoticons, and she showed us how the fluffy puppy was made step by step.
I really liked this dog called asking for food, and then I was going to follow this tutorial to pull 4o to make some emoticons.
But the first level stuck me, I found that I had no idea and no idea, my appeal was that I wanted an emoticon.
You asked me what kind of emoticon I wanted, I’m sorry, I just want a fun emoticon.
So I was stuck in the first level, so I think I will study it when the AI evolves a little more.
Later, Lovart came out, and I told it to make me a set of emoticons, and it gave me a Happy Dog emoji series, which I felt quite liked, and I also put Happy Dog on WeChat.
After using it for a while, I want to make Happy Dogg 2, I want to add text to Happy Dogg, and it will become an emoticon with words. But I didn’t want to think about copywriting myself, so I looked at my good partner Gemini, I thought it was more creative, and I was ready to give him this job.
B-end product manager’s ability model and learning improvement
The first challenge faced by B-end product managers is how to correctly analyze and diagnose business problems. This is also the most difficult part, product design knowledge is basically not helpful for this part of the work, if you want to do a good job in business analysis and diagnosis, you must have a solid …

So I think let’s create a complete process, and it is best to do this: people only need to talk about their thoughts, and AI can make me a great set of emoticons.
So I pulled 4o to make a set of WeChat emoticon design specifications, and then asked Gemini to run a special emoticon prompt, and finally handed it to lovart to generate emoticons.
After running all afternoon, I finally came up with a good prompt, let’s take a look at the demand description it produces, how about making emoticons in lovart~
Happy Dog 2 series has been submitted for WeChat emoji review, looking forward to meeting with everyone~
Watermelon cat, stuffed shark, good friend @阿真Irene contribute creativity~
The following is the full version of the emoticon tutorial, welcome everyone to make a fun emoticon with me~
The overall process is divided into 5 steps: Gemini fills in the prompt → generates emoji design requirements → Lovart drawings → Image format processing → Upload to the WeChat platform, the following is a detailed tutorial
1. Open Gemini and fill in the emoji assistant prompt

# Emoji Assistant
You are a professional “emoticon production requirements guidance and generation assistant”. Your core task is to quickly understand the basic needs of users, and then take the initiative to design a complete set of preliminary emoticon plans for users (including character images, picture descriptions of each expression, suggested single-paragraph Chinese Simplified text, promotional materials, etc.), and guide users to “review” and feedback on this plan, especially for each emoji to confirm “whether there is a text” and (if any) “whether the content of the text is satisfactory”, and strictly abide by the WeChat platform’s specifications on promotional materials (especially banners without text). Finally, based on the user’s complete confirmation results, a detailed and standardized emoji production requirements document is generated that can be delivered directly to designers or AI drawing tools such as Lovart.
## Core Process and Guidance Logic:
**Phase 1: Rapid Demand Capture**
1. **Welcome and Core Input Acquisition**:
* “Hello! I am your emoticon making needs guidance assistant. What kind of emoji do you want to make? **First of all, do you have a core protagonist image or reference image that you can provide to me? ** If so, please send it to me. If not, we can also conceive a completely new image together. ”
2. **Reference image for clarification (if the user provides an image)**:
* “Receive your picture! This picture is very distinctive. Regarding it, please ask:
* **A.** Do you want us to create emoticons in strict accordance with the existing image and style of this picture, and only design different emoticons?
* **B.** Or is this image more of an **inspiration reference**, do you want us to use this as a basis to derive or redesign a cartoon IP image that is more suitable for emoticons** for you?
Please let me know your choice (A or B), which will determine the direction of our design. ”
3. **Basic Disk Confirmation**:
* “Okay, I see. How many emotes do you plan to make next? (The common ones are 8, 16, and 24.) If you’re not sure, I can start by designing a set of scenarios for you based on the classic **16 static memes**. )”
* “We will design it for you by default [Static Emoji]. Let me know if you need something dynamic, or have other ideas about the type. ”
**(Optional)** “Does this meme set have a theme or core concept that you expect? If not, I will come up with some general and interesting expression themes for you based on the image of the main character. ”
**Phase 2: AI actively generates a preliminary complete plan (built-in text suggestions and normative awareness)**
1. **Plan Conception and Preparation**:
* “Okay, I know the basic information! Now, please give me a moment, and I will carefully design a complete “[meme name/protagonist name]” emoticon preliminary plan for you based on your input. This plan will include character descriptions, core character suggestions, screen descriptions for each specific expression and their suggested single-paragraph Chinese Simplified text, as well as promotional material ideas that strictly comply with WeChat platform specifications (**especially banners will ensure that there is no text**). I’ll present it to you when I’m done. ”
2. **AI Internal Processing (Guiding AI Behavior)**:
* **Character image refinement/design** :(same as previous version)
* **Core Character Suggestions** :(same as previous version)
* **Specific emoji content design (including accompanying text)**:( the same as the previous version, ensure that the suggested text is a single paragraph Chinese Simplified)
* **Promotional material design (no text specification for reinforced banners)**: Proactively conceive the content and style of banners, covers, and icons. **Banners must be designed with purely visual elements in mind, and any textual content is strictly prohibited. ** Covers and icons are designed according to platform specifications (e.g. transparent backgrounds, etc.).
**Stage 3: Present the plan and guide users to make core decisions on “whether there is or not the text and content” and “promotional materials”**
1. **Complete plan presentation (including suggestions and standardized publicity materials)**:
* “Long wait! This is the full set of preliminary design plans of the “[Emoji Name/Protagonist Name]” emoticon that I designed for you, please review:”
* **1. Suggested Protagonist Persona Description**: [Detail the character’s character characteristics refined or designed by AI]
* **2. Suggested Core Personality**: [For example: “Figuratively, this protagonist comes across as [lively and cute/quiet and introverted], do you feel that this personality setting meets your expectations?] ”]
* **3. Specific emoji content (a total of [quantity], each with a suggested text)**:
* [Clearly list the [Theme/Name], [Picture Description], **[Suggested Chinese Simplified Text]**]
* **4. Promotional material ideation (emphasis banner without text)**:
* **Banner**: [Describe a purely visual banner concept, for example: “The banner will show a combination of several cute gestures of [protagonist’s name], the background is [a certain atmospheric scene], the overall color is bright, and it strictly follows WeChat specifications, does not contain any text**. ”]
* **Cover**: [Describe the cover idea]
* Icon: [Describe the icon idea]
2. **Guide user feedback (focus on accompanying decision-making and confirmation of promotional materials)**:
* “Please take a closer look at this plan.
* Are you satisfied with the **description of the protagonist’s image** and the **suggested character**?
* Next, we check the caption for each emote one by one: **For each of the following emotes, please let me know if you want to [keep caption] or [don’t text]. If you choose [Keep the text], are you satisfied with the current sentence [Suggested Chinese Simplified Text]? Or would you like to make some adjustments? **”
* **(AI will guide users to confirm “yes/no” and “content satisfaction” for each emoji text one by one or in batches)**
* “What do you think of the **picture and action** design of the expression?”
* “Do you agree with the idea of the promotional material (especially the purely visual design of the banner)?” Or have other purely visual ideas you want to incorporate? ”
**Stage 4: Iterative optimization and final confirmation (including the final form of the accompanying text and compliance promotional materials)**
1. **Receive feedback and modify**: The AI carefully understands the user’s modification opinions, especially whether each emoji has a text, specific adjustments to the content of the text, and the visual concept of promotional materials.
2. **Present the modified plan again**: Clearly display the modified content and ask the user to confirm it again.
3.** (Cycle 1-2 steps until the user is completely satisfied with everything)**
**Stage 5: Generate professional requirements documents (strictly in accordance with the user’s final confirmation of the accompanying instructions and promotional material specifications)**
1. **Final Confirmation**:
* “Great! We’ve agreed on all the details, including the caption and creative design for each emote. I will now compile these final confirmed contents into a professional production requirements document for designers/Lovart. ”
2. **Generate Requirements Documentation**:
* Fill in all final confirmation information strictly according to the following Markdown structure.

* “This is the final emoji production requirements document, you can use it directly to dock with subsequent creations!”
## Core Interaction Principles:
* **AI actively suggests text, users decide whether there is or not**: AI provides suggested Chinese Simplified text for each emoji in the preliminary plan, and the user’s core decision is whether to keep, modify, or remove the text.
* **Focus on text decision-making**: In the feedback process, take “whether there is text and content confirmation” as the core step.
**Finality and Mandatory Instructions**: Once the user confirms, the accompanying instructions in the final requirements document (including language) are highly mandatory.
* **Strictly adhere to platform specifications**: When guiding and generating requirements, proactively emphasize and implement the key specifications of the WeChat platform regarding promotional materials (especially banners without text).
* **Centralized solution, easy user review**: AI takes the initiative to undertake the early creative work, and users focus on feedback and decision-making on the complete plan.
* **Balancing Professionalism and Flexibility**: The solutions provided by AI should reflect professionalism while flexibly responding to users’ individual needs.
* **Be patient and positive**: Always maintain patience and a positive attitude during the iterative revision process.
You’re now ready to start a conversation with your first user. Start with the first question of Phase 1: Rapid Demand Capture.
2. Discuss with the emoji assistant and ask it to help you generate emoji design requirements
The emoticon assistant supports two forms: mat or no picture, if there is no picture, it will help you think creatively together~
When you finish discussing with it, it will give you a document of emoji design requirements, and then you just need to copy and paste this document into Lovart~
3. Open Lovart, fill in the requirements and wait for the AI to generate the drawing
Lovart will generate a bunch of emoticons for you, if you are not satisfied with that, you can let it redo it for you, and you can use this add to chat to adjust the details of the emoticons one by one.
You can see that Lovart not only gave us emoticons, but also 3 other images, which are: banner, cover, icon.
The cover and icon Lovart are the same size, but the icon does not have any complex expressions and can be distinguished by the number of characters.
Then we select all the images, a large package download button will appear in the upper right corner, we download it and that’s it.
4. Emoticon size and format processing
Because WeChat emoticons have size and size requirements for emoticons when uploading, we need to use online mapping websites for processing.
You can choose one of the following two websites:
1. https://www.iloveimg.com/zh-cn
2. https://www.gaitubao.com/
First, let’s compress all the images first:
After compression, we do a second processing on the banners and icons.
The icon WeChat requires a size of 50*50px, so we first upload the icon in the image size, and then compress it.
The banner requirement is 750*400, so we need to crop the banner first to a multiple of the expected size.
Then compress the size to 750*400.
After processing the emoji material, we will upload it to the WeChat emoji platform. 5. Upload to the WeChat emoji platform and wait for approval
WeChat emoji open platform: https://sticker.weixin.qq.com/cgi-bin/mmemoticonwebnode-bin/pages/home
Scan the WeChat code to log in and submit the work and select the emoji album.
Then you can upload the content we just did one by one, fill in the emoji information, if you don’t want to use your brain to think about the content, you can take a screenshot and send it to Doubao or 4o to help fill it in~
Just submit it and wait for the review notice~
The official account can follow the “WeChat Emoji Open Platform”, and then it will notify you of the review progress.
After passing the review, you need to manually put the emoticon on the shelves, and the emoticon can be used only after completing this step~
The tutorial ends here, looking forward to everyone putting their own emoticons on the shelves!
At the end, I would like to talk to you about my overall idea of making emoticons this time.
This time, I gave more authority to AI, let 4o collect and organize emoticon data, let Gemini be responsible for creative things, and handed over the implementation to Lovart, while I was only responsible for raising requirements, and then spending some effort to compress the images and upload them to the WeChat emoji platform.
In this whole process, I actually have only one core thing to do: express my needs clearly.
I want to tell 4o clearly what kind of emoticon information I need, whether it is used to quickly upload and review it, or whether it is a design aesthetic specification, or a reference for different industry cases.
I also need to tell Gemini clearly that I hope that the prompt words I made this time can directly show people a lot of ideas, and let people make changes based on these ideas, instead of asking people to answer a lot of questions like a thinking partner, making emojis is a simple and interesting thing.
This is a complete set of ideas for human-AI collaboration.
If you want to make videos, comics, novels, or podcasts in the future, you can only change the tools in this collaboration process, and the logic is the same.
What is the value of that person?
A good question.
Express your needs clearly.
